Trail Guard

Interact with the Environment Without Transferring Scents

The Trail Guard is an outer layer suit made of several functional pieces that act in conjunction as a set of scent-occluding rubber covers for hunters. Design intent is to cover the most of the exterior of the user’s body, allowing the user to interact directly with the surrounding physical environment without fear of transferring unwanted scents to prey.

Features & Benefits

The Trail Guard system consists of three different functional components which work in tandem with the rubber boots hunters traditionally wear in an attempt to minimize scent transfer. These parts are a suit of pants (complete with zippers for easy application over boots), a jacket and a pair of gloves. All pieces of clothing in the Trail Guard line are constructed of a dense-web, light-gauge flexible rubber, which is widely perforated to allow moisture transfer across its barrier and prevent excessive hydration buildup underneath. All pieces would be made adjustable to ensure an appropriate fit. The scent-occluding rubber covers the preponderance of the exterior of the user’s body, allowing the user to interact directly with the surrounding physical environment without feat of transferring unwanted scents. The mesh-like nature of the garments also makes them quite easy to adorn with twigs, leaves, flowers and other found materials which will increase general visible camouflage and, at the same time, add some natural scents to the wearer’s body. In this manner, the Trail Guard would provide a clever way to increase the wearers stealth, both visibly and in the scent spectrum. The Trail Guard system could be made available in dull black, mossy oak camoflauge, or realtree camoflauge colors and patterns. In addition, the Trail Guard line could eventually be incorporated into other clothing lines like Scent Lok ® and Realtree ® . When not in use, the Trail Guard should be stored at all times in the provided protective rubber bag. This will help to prevent the product from coming into contact with any heavily-scented items. When putting the Trail Guard on or off, it is advisable to begin and end with the gloves, so that the hands don’t transfer any additional human scents onto the suit while robing or disrobing. The Trail Guard system would provide a simple and effective way for hunters to ensure that they are not inadvertently revealed to their prey by way of an accidentally-dispersed smell. Effective, the Trail Guard system could offer scent profile reductions of up to 60% for those who use it properly, ensuring a way to get closer to the desired animal, and in return, get more kills in the long run. Cleverly conceived, the Trail Guard system should be received enthusiastically by hunters everywhere, and even animal lovers who just want to get closer to nature for observation purposes.
