Portable Recorder/Audio Player Activated by Motion Sensor
The Voice Blaster is a specially designed portable recorder/audio player that can be utilized to record funny sentiments or sounds, with the device’s playback mode automatically activated via an integrated motion sensor. Design intent is to record various humorous sentiments and then position the device out of sight, where it would be inadvertently activated by unsuspecting passersby. The Voice Blaster, with its motion sensor, alarm, listening and charging capabilities, as well as an ability to record and send short videos, could also be utilized as a security device, safety device, phone charger, and backup fire and smoke alarm.
Features & Benefits
Featuring a square shaped casing manufactured of heavy duty plastic material, the Voice Blaster would be a compact unit measuring 4 inches in length by 4 inches in width. Larger versions measuring 6 inches in length and 6 inches in width might also be made available. Housed within the device would be a simple audio recorder with which the user could record funny messages, sentiments or sounds, with these sounds emitted through integrated speakers upon activation of the unit. Sounds or sentiments could also be uploaded onto the Voice Blaster likely via a USB port. Simple operational controls could be positioned on the front or side of the machine and could include a record and playback button, as well as a volume control. As mentioned, the Voice Blaster would feature an integrated motion sensor which would activate the playback feature when activity is detected within a specific range of the device. The Voice Blaster could be powered by way of replaceable batteries housed within a battery compartment located on the underside of the unit. The size of the Voice Blaster could also be slightly increased, leaving some interior space to offset future tooling costs by adding about 1” on the side to add plug outlets for cell phones, I-pads, tablets, etcetera. This would add listening and charging capabilities to the product. This could also be incorporated from the beginning. Also, a miniature, motion activated camera able to record video in 30 second increments would be included as well. This video could then be automatically relayed to the owner's cellphone. In this manner, with the Voice Blaster located outside the front door of one’s house, should someone approach, the motion sensor would be activated and send a notice (or video) either by Bluetooth or Wi-fi to the owner's cell phone. Then, simply by pushing a button on one's cell phone, the user would be able to talk to the Fedex man, or whoever may be at the door. With the capability to view on one's cell phone the short video generated by the Voice Blaster, this device could effectively be used as a security system, serving as an excellent deterrent for vandals and burglars. As a fire and smoke alarm inside of the home or building, the motion detector would pick up the image of a heavy smoke filled room and instantly generate a 30 second video which would immediately be sent to one's cell phone. The Voice Blaster motion sensor could also detect an image should someone fall and not be able to get up and call for help. This would again send an alert to one's cell phone. The camera and up-link should have the capability to be turned OFF & ON from a cell phone and/or the Voice Blaster. Providing consumers a simple means of encouraging a heartfelt laugh by discreetly hiding the Voice Blaster in an out of sight location, passersby could be surprised with a hilarious sentiment or sound effect. Automatically activated via an integrated motion sensor, the Voice Blaster would emit a virtually endless array of messages or sounds that would surprise, confuse and ultimately entertain passersby. Creating a hilarious scenario that would invoke laughter, this unique item could prove a favorite of any diehard prankster. Originally intended for comic purposes, the Voice Blaster would also be utilized as a security device, with the user recording warning messages such as the sounds of dogs barking, or other effective deterrents that would stop would-be intruders in their tracks. And, with the ability to send 30 second videos, would record and alert users to many dangerous or suspicious situations. The recorded video could also be used by police to catch any foul players. Compact and portable, innovative and unique, and produced in a variety of colors, the Voice Blaster would provide consumers not only a fun way in which to incite laughter, but also a much needed safety, surveillance, and fire detection system.
