Warm, Easily Portable, And Highly Versatile, The Battery Blanket ...

Is a portable, affordable blanket that should be a part of every household emergency kit.

WILLINGBORO, NJ—Most conscientious people try to be prepared for any emergency, gathering all of the items they may need in their emergency kit, articles which can make the difference between life and death. Another item that should be a part of every household emergency kit is the Battery Blanket. It is a battery-powered, heated blanket that is ideal for use during power outages, natural disasters, and similar emergencies. Not only for emergencies, the Battery Blanket can be easily carried to outdoor sporting events, a cookout, a parade, and outdoor concert or virtually anywhere it may be needed.

Measuring six feet by four feet, the Battery Blanket is battery-powered with batteries such as AA, C or D batteries. It is produced in a warm, insulated synthetic fiber, non-allergenic, soft, and cushioning. The grid of electrical wires provide heat through electrical resistance and are fully encased in insulating, waterproof rubber casings, so the blanket can be used safely even when damp. The outer, top side of the Battery Blanket also has a reversible zippered, impermeable, reflective coating of Mylar®, like the material used in the emergency Space Blankets, thus providing an even higher level of insulation and a reflective surface visible to airborne emergency and rescue personnel. There are Low, Medium, and High temperature settings, with the Low setting providing the longest battery life and the High setting, the shortest battery life. Televised test marketing has been completed indicating exceptional consumer interest in the Battery Blanket.

The Patent Pending Battery Blanket was invented by Charla Herrington of Willingboro, NJ, who said, “I conceived the idea for the Battery Blanket because of my experience during Hurricane Sandy. Simple to store and simple to use, the Battery Blanket is a must-have in any emergency kit.”
