Invents Unveils Pedal To Potty …
… leaves a user totally hands-free in bathrooms with this feature.
JERSEY CITY, NJ—The ability to use the toilet in various rooms is a given, but the fact remains that without the seat lifting and lowering system it can be a messy situation to use and to clean. The Pedal to Potty is a hands-free toilet seat lifting and lowering accessory presented as a sturdy metal system operated by an integrated foot pedal attached to a flat “U” shaped mount which is also attached by a sturdy clip to the underside of the back of the back half of the toilet seat. The design intent is to provide consumers with a convenient, hands-free method of lifting and lowering the toilet seat, as well as an option for automatically flushing the toilet as the seat lowers.
The Pedal to Potty is a specially designed foot pedal connected to the toilet seat assembly. When depressed it lifts the seat from the bowl and sets it back down after use while simultaneously flushing the toilet. An option for the device is to have it automatically lower and flush after a designated amount of time, such as after 90 seconds. In this manner the user need not hold the pedal down until finished. Televised test marketing has recently been completed indicating strong consumer interest in Pedal to the Potty.
The Patent Pending Pedal to Potty was invented by Abel Ruiz of Jersey City, NJ who said, “This is a hygienic alternative to lifting the toilet seat by hand. It protects the user from coming into direct contact with the bacteria and germs often found on the underside of the seat. It also is beneficial for the disabled and those with limited mobility. Every public bathroom should have Pedal to Potty and it is just as important for homes. It works.”
