The cap is primarily made of water-resistant materials, is breathable, soft, and a stretchable/spandex fabric with the interior lined with a soft nylon mesh that gently, but reliably, secures the hair from the crown of the head to the end of the hair, no matter what the length, width or texture. The base of the covering has a snood-like pouch that drapes over the neck and shoulders and provides an expandable pocket to accommodate any length of hair and secures a hairstyle. It rests softly on the head similar in construction to a shower cap or slouchy beret, while still keeping a fashionable public appearance.
