NORTH EDWARDS, CA—One definition of support in the Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary describes the meaning as to hold up or serve as a foundation or prop and maintain at a desired level and this definition clearly describes the new Traveling Tablet. The Traveling Tablet is a portable, height adjustable support system for suspending electronic media, particularly tablet computers and smartphones, in a hands-free manner while riding in a vehicle or while sitting. The design intent of this product is to provide a versatile accessory that actually holds the electronic device for the user, thus optimizing user-friendly usage of these devices, especially during long road trips.
The main or top section of the Traveling Tablet is also detachable for use on any hard surface such as a table or desktop making it beneficial for dual use. In either case it will suspend tablet computers and more, (kindles, nooks, etc.) at eye level while in a vehicle or any other seated area without having to hold it. It is compact, lightweight and able to accommodate any model of tablet computer, e-reader, or smartphone. Televised test marketing has recently been completed indicating strong consumer interest in the Traveling Tablet.
